Haiti: Giving to Support the Relief Efforts

As you may know, a powerful 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on January 12 killing hundreds to thousands.  In the spirit of giving, I would like to ask my readers to consider giving to the cause in Haiti.  Below are a list of non-profit organizations helping with the efforts.  Please consider giving a tax-deductible donation to help with the relief efforts:

• You can text 'yele' to 501501 to donate $5 to yele
• You can text 'Haiti' to 90999 to donate $10 to The American Red Cross.  Our family took advantage of this opportunity!
• Yele (100% of funds will go to help with the relief efforts) *This site has been down due to a flood of donations.
• American Red Cross
• Habitat for Humanity
• Samaritan's Purse
• UNICEF

Why do we save? The miracle of giving...

This is an amazing video that I saw in Financial Peace University about the miracle of giving.  I cried all the way through it.   This is why we save and try to accumulate wealth...so that we can give freely give to others!  This is a very inspiring video.  Enjoy!
