As you know I am very excited about swag bucks.  I think it is a very easy way to earn FREE Gift Cards as well as cool prizes like the Kindle and iPad.  For those of you who would like to win more swagbucks, here is the information on how to optimize your experience! 

Tips for when you are starting out:

1. Download: Download your toolbar for your browser.  This will make it easy to do a quick little search here and there.  Also, there is a little spot where you will see a swagcode pop up. They will only be good for a few hours.  This way you know as soon as possible.
2. Follow:   Follow swagbucks on your social networking sites like facebook and twitter.  They release more swagbucks on these sight so you have more opportunities to win them. 
3. Search Limits: There is usually a limit of how many you can win a day 3-4 so do not be obsessed!  Try to spread out your searches and ONLY use authentic searches.  For example, search Centsable Lady rather than just going to your bookmark.  
4. Goal: Set a goal for this year.  Look through the Swag store and make a goal prize. My personal goal is to pay for MOST if not all of my Christmas presents through Gift cards earned through swag bucks (450 Swagbucks = 1 Amazon Gift Card)! Don't worry I will update you about this in December.  This will help you to stay motivated! Mother's Day is Coming up.  Both Proflowers and red envelope $5 gift cards are 140 Swagbucks each.  Work towards free mother's day gifts.
5. Other than Searching: Remember you can win swagbucks for online shopping, watching video ads, completing special offers, recycling cell phones, using a prescription discount card and more! 
6. Clicking on Ads:  Swagbucks makes money off of ads and they are sharing the wealth by passing on  prizes and rewards onto you.  You may get higher value swagbucks just for clicking on ads or the top items in your search.  Instead of closing your page use the back arrow button.  I win swagbucks this way all of the time,
7. Mega Swag Bucks day:  You have a better chance of winning higher value swag bucks for doing on line searches on Friday which is Mega Swag bucks day!
8. Refer friends and encourage them:  When your friends sign up, you earn swag bucks each time they search!  If you really believe that this is a great idea, why not share it :) Share your genuine success with the program.  I want a FREE Christmas and I would love for my friends to have the same.

2. Shop at Home gives 3% back (6% today only) on my Home Depot Purchase (free shipping) and 6% back on my Ballard Designs Purchase.  
3. I went through the link on Shop at Home to get to Home Depot. ($3.81 back for going through a link- $7.62 today)  
4. I shop like normal and check out.  
5. Did a search on Ballard Design at Shop at Home 
6. Connected with Ballard Designs through the link on Shop at Home
7. Shop and Check out like normal ($9.00 back for going through their link).
8. I got my Fabulous Zebra Rug from Home Depot and my Burlap Drapes and French Jute Rug for my back door from Ballard Designs with $12.81 CASH BACK!

Swagpression: It is what happens when they deactivate you :(

UPDATE:  I HAVE BEEN REINSTATED! My frown has been turned upside down! SWAGBUCKS, you will not regret it :)

I now have my own swag word that describes my experience with swagbucks, Swagpression.  Swagpression is when swagbucks finds out that your husband signed up for swagbucks 6-7 months ago and they deactivate you when it is time to receive your gift card and you are left with NOTHING!  It happened on Tuesday night.  I was shell shocked.  My husband is not active with swagbucks.  He had 9.  I had close to 200 with 5 gift cards heading my way and 30 referrals.  As you can imagine, this was a big blow to my dream of a FREE Christmas.  I am going to take this as a learning experience and move on. I was careless, and it was my fault.  I feel like my boyfriend, swagbucks broke up with me, and I have sent e-mails to them begging that they would take me back.  LOL! He even took away my gift cards.  Ok, I am being a little melodramatic.  


Well, if you are currently with swagbucks, make sure that you:

1. Never have more than one person in your household sign up for swagbucks.  I was careless and did not read the rules carefully.  Already have 2 accounts?  Contact compliance@swagbucks.com and ask them to deactivate one of your accounts.  They may not have caught you yet, but when you cash in your swagbucks they will make sure you did not violate this rule.  They will find out!
2. Do not post or list an actual swagcode ANYWHERE!  You will be banned for life!
3. Do not search too many times within a minute.  Use authentic searches or they will deactivate you and you have to beg to be reactivated.  
4. Know the rules of the game. I would post a link but they have blocked my IP address.  

A moment of silence for my lost gift cards, referrals and my dream of a FREE Christmas!


Hopefully Swagbucks and I will make up and I can join you as a Swagernaut.
